reality tv is.....REAL.

anyone seen commercials for the new mtv show the paper?



...because that's what my newspaper staff is going through right now.

we're applying for editorial staff positions for next year.

i want to be editor-in-cheif SO bad. i think i have a pretty good shot at it, too, but i don't want to get my hopes up just to be dissapointed.

i had my interview tonight (we go in at night to work on the paper during deadline week...like in the show :) ).

i think it went well, but i kind of blabbed on about stuff...it was obvious i was nervous, i think they'll give me a break on that. hopefully.



i keep replaying it over and over in my head, trying to decode anything i may have missed during the interview...trying to see what they were thinking as far as nee-sa = e-i-c.

our newpaper advisor hasn't told us yet when she'll pick the positions by, but i think it should be before the end of this week.



but anyway, yeah. it's weird to see that mtv show, because, seriously, that's exactly how it is. at least my staff is. we have tabooed "staff-cest" relationships and we're all super competitive. you always see those shows and you think it's all edited to make it out to be something it's not.

however, the paper is all for real ;)
