i used to be obsessed

with the a*teens. and i think i still am.

A*Teens

Whores conducted business in this house

but now my friend lives here and I cannot fall asleep. I am so very bored. I'm done with regular school, but I have to start Algebra II next Monday. NO FUN. I just almost wrote on my friend's whiteboard in Sharpie because it looked like a washable marker.

I was watching The Golden Compass a little while ago and it is pretty good. When people turn books into movies it seems to be important (especially for the children's roles) that the actors are cast for their love of the book and not necessarily physical appearance. I mean the child who plays Lyra doesn't look at all like I imagined her, but she is perfect because she wanted the role so she could be Lyra and not because she wanted to act. The same goes for Neville and Luna in the Harry Potter movies. Oh my god Evanna Lynch (Luna) is the most adorable person ever.

My friend is trying to drag me to The Matches concert next month, but I don't really feel like putting the effort into getting to and from the city for a band I don't particularly like. Quite frankly I don't think that someone 40,000 dollars in debt should be wasting his money on a concert ticket anyways, but I'm so over trying to talk some sense into that kid.

Damn I'm rambling so much right now. Can I just say I LOVE having the internet in the middle of the night? My dad feels the need to turn it off at 10:30 every night, but here I can post at 2:3o at night. This makes insomnia so much more bearable. I guess it is kind of a good thing that I lose the internet duirng the night or you would probably see a lot more of these random trains of thought.

This house gets really creepy at night. It is very dark and I don't know where any of the lightswitches are. It makes a lot of strange noises. I bet there is a ghost of some dead prostitute waiting to jump out and kill me.

I need to stop typing now. To anyone who actually read all of this and followed it: Kudos. Kudos.

Augusten Burroughs and The Cure...

...are both really great. I love them both.

Lucy, thanks for posting so much about what books to get. I probably would have had no idea where to start. As it is, I'm now reading 'Magical Thinking' and it's one of the best books I've read!

Three years and seven teachers later...

I'm finally done with all the Italian classes I ever need to take. Ever. I'm done. FINALLY. I wanted to dance as soon as I got out of that fucking classroom. YES!!!

I got out of presenting my community service project in front of the class which was lovely, so I should be done with school by about 1:00 today and then I have to go make up some english work and then I'm done with my spring courses. Wonderful.

No more Italian ever. Ever ever ever!!! Yay!!!

So, we have about 17 days left...

Lame title, I know. Anyways...

There has been NOTHING but windy weather here lately! I swear, I could easily be convinced that Davis is in some kind of vacuum or something, thus we do not get normal weather. It's either been 106 without a breeze, or super windy.

I'm failing math.

On a somewhat happier note (I don't like the amount of angst in the above paragraph), my mom is graduating next week, so I get to go film her walking to get her Psy.D. Hell yeah!

Okay, that's about it from me for now.

1-2-3-4-5-6...

Michi

Good Fucking TIMES!

SOOOO!
Yesterday i got my government research paper back and i got an A! I was soooo surprised and happy!

TODAY i got my English research paper back and i got a B+!!! I was even MORE surprised and even MORE happy! So im all "yayz"

hmm, i've been home for a while. I had my mom pick my up at lunch today because i didnt wanna go to calculus. We are having a free day and theres nothing i hate more than 2 hour free days in Calculus class.

Tomorrow im leaving to Disneyland for Gradnight! Im excited! For the ride i decided im taking my sisters ipod and putting some augusten burroughs audio books on them to keep me entertained. But i only have one...so I need to go buy atleast one more today. ^-^

so thats all thats up with me! <33333

Well isn't that just lovely

I woke up three hours early so I could go in and talk to the instructor for the lab portion of my class (who is not the same person as the regular teacher) during one of his finals, but I got the date wrong. Now I get to do it again tomorrow. Uh.

I don't really have anything to say, but nobody has posted in forever. Oh I know! I made soy chai popsicles last night and they were not very delicious, but it was still exciting. I made them in star shapes.

The girl sitting in front of me is wearing a(n?) horrendously ugly shirt.

I'M GONNA CREATE A POLL!!! That's such an exciting idea. You have no idea. Now I get to figure out how.

Edit: I don't have the tab for creating a poll. I bet only Nee-sa does because she created the blog. Now I'm sad.

i posted a bulletin about this, but if you didn't see it...

the 12-hour field trip from HELL:

so. i left the house this morning at 6:15 am to be at school in time, because the buses were leaving at 6:30. and i didn't get back to school until 6:15 pm. NOT FUCKING KIDDING.

YEAH. 2 HOURS AND 15 MINUTES LATE, SON!

AND keep in mind that only THREE (3) of those TWELVE (12) hours were spent at the desitiantion......the other NINE (9) were spent on a NINETY (90) degree, sticky plastic seat bus in the middle of bumper-to-bumper traffic with no air flow moving through the bus whatsoever. OMIGOD THERE WERE LIKE PUDDLES OF SWEAT ON EVERYONE'S SEATS.

we thought we were going to die...which resulted in a few pretty funny pics that'll be up on facebook in the next few days....

(lucy, i called you from the bus home at one point...)

so, for french we went to "language day" at the language defense institute (idk what it's called) in monterey, and it's where military people learn languages, so it's on a military base.

the ride there was alright, i just slept the whole time. other than the fact that i got extremely sunburned, the place was really fun, and they had super great food.

but then the ride home came. omigod.

what i don't understand, though, is that the spanish bus from our school (i was on the french bus) left monterey after us, but got back home an hour before us.

so anyway, we get on the bus - its hot, but at least since we're on the freeway there's a breeze coming though the windows. then, we just hit a wall of traffic, basically.

and it's still like over 80 degrees OUSIDE, so INSIDE the bus was even hotter.

i swear to god, we had all soaked through the butts of our pants because the plastic seats were making us sweat so much.

we tried to pass the time with hangman, taking random photos, drawing, origami...ANYTHING to keep our minds off the fact that everyone on the bus is out of water and we're basically ging to die in the middle of the freeway.

finally we got to fremont. we were finally in an identifiable city, not just endless hills of dry, brown grass.

but then we got off the freeway.

wha...?

what the fuck, we're already super late, so now you're going to try to make some shortcut that's going to get us lost and we're going to die. and THEN, at the same time, a girl on the bus was having some sort of heat sickness, so we had to stop at a gas station, but that turned into mini trips to the nearby jamba juice, starbucks, and noah's. so there goes another half hour.

the sick girl stayed with her mom in fremont, and her dad came to pick them up.

so basically, we started out with a full bus, and lost two people because it got SO INTENSE that they couldn't handle it.

so. we find the freeway again, hit the all-too-familiar wall of traffic. and we pass a cemetary. we are certain that this is some kind of omen. like, um, YOU'RE ALL GOING TO DIE ON THAT 90 DEGREE STICKY, HOT, SWEATY BUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AH!

it is seriously the most miserable thing i have experienced in a REALLY REALLY really long time.

the only way you can fully understand how bad it all was, was if you were there. although i did leave messages on a few people's phones, explaining that i was going to die on this bus in the middle of nowhere.

we get a call from people on the spanish bus that they have arrived back at miramonte, meanwhile we are stuck in...guess what? a WALL OF TRAFFIC going through the main vein of hayward.

we finally got to the freeway, and got home eventually....people cheered when we got to the caldecot tunnel...

i mean. it was SO FUCKING REDICULOUS. i can't even beleive how this whole thing went down. it was so hot (obviously), we had no water ar anything (for a while), and if you didn't already pick this up, we all thought we were going to die of heat stroke right there. we had already stripped down to the most minimal amount of clothing we all could. people were lying on the floor of the bus, waiting to die. you couldn't even sleep if you wanted to because it was so hot.

i don't evenknow what else to say, except to reiterate the fact that this whole ordeal spanned a total of twelve hours.

yes.

i need to go to bed now.

half a page

omg, im finishing my government research paper and i need like 1/2 page more to be done.
Dont you hate it when you got all you have to say and you still need like 1/2 a page to reach the page requirement.

I cant think of any laws for Global Warming...im not that creative!!!
I hate government..*huffs and puffs*
Tomorrows class is gonna be interesting though. Tomorrow these kids have to present on Same-sex marriage for their "issues project"
I wonder what all these kids opinions are. These people surprise me. I couldnt have done this topic...no way. I stuck with Gun Control. haha

Anyways, tomorrow is FRIIIDAY! Amazing!
Next weeks will be loong, atleast mon, tues, and wed.....because Thursday im heading down to Disneyland! The trip WONT be fun....shoot me now.

ok, so im off to finish my paper.

and then goodnight!

California just legalized same-sex marriage

!!!
The State Supreme Court just voted this morning. Pretty epic.

I just BSed the history portion of the STAR test because I wasn't feeling well. My teacher gave me a disappointed face and was like "is that your best work" then when I kinda mumbled "yes" she was like "that's too bad" and now I feel kinda bad. It occurred to me afterwards that it can actually impact her job because they look at how well the students of each teacher perform. I forgot that part. I kinda want to apologize but I don't really do that and if I try I end up making things worse.

Kay I guess that's all for now. Oh yeah, I have Benny Lava stuck in my head.

Wednesday, May 14, 2008

i bought something amazing last weekend, but i think only like five people know about it.

i'm so bored. i have a habit of coming on here and just typing whatever comes into my head....i feel like i want to go to longs and buy candy and cheap ass cosmetics. that's like...what i DO when i'm bored. but ACTUALLY, i'm not going to lie....n.y.c. makes an awesome highlighting stick. i use it like everyday. and it was like $2.

but i'm like...what the hell do they put in that shit that makes it so cheap? like...what am i putting on my face?

oh, the glory of cheap cosmetics.

oh, i never told the blog about how last week, i kind of nicked (sp?) this girl's car in the parking lot at school. but she's my friend, and her parents didn't care, so i don't have to pay for it! we had already agreed not to go through the insurance company if she wanted me to pay to fix it (rates would have gone through the roof for both of us). but her parents didn't care...it seriously was NOTHING, though. for realz. my car was worse off than hers was, and my parents didn't even notice AT ALL.

all that happened was my car got slightly scratched, and her car just got white paint (off my car) on it.

in video we just watched amelie. it's the greatest movie ever. although i have found that i have a low tolerance for watching movies more than once, or reading books more than once. for movies, at least, i just fall asleep if i've already seen it. and with books i get bored the second time around and stop reading it. the only time this doesn't apply is if it's harry potter.

know what's the best? canned air. like what you use to dust off a computer keyboard. i have two cans of it now (after ther water-on-the-laptop incident, everyone's monitering my computer-cleaning habits). but i like to just shoot it at random stuff, and the can get's all cold, and it feels good. it smells weird. but my kitty is scared of it.

tomorrow i have to do the essay part of my us history final, and i'm SO FREAKED OUT. she gave us SIX topics to study ahead of time, and tomorrow, she'll give us two of those six to choose from, and we write on one of them. so, theoretically, i have to study five of the six topics.

i'm SO FUCKED I'M SO BAD AT HISTORY!!!!! AHHHH!
anf on friday i have to be at school at 630AM to go on a field trip to monterey WTF????

I'm pretty sure Ghostie is that one chick from bowling

Photobucket

I'm almost positive. Now I am totally positive because I checked in the unpublished blogs area and she started an introduction. There is no way I am taking the time to resize that picture because I am lazy. Actually maybe I will, but I doubt it. I tried and failed so it is staying as is. Okay it cut off the side of the picture with the Ghostie person in it. Beautiful. Fixed it. This paragraph was typed over the course of about ten minutes.

On another note, I really dislike the idea of summer school. I am so confused as to why I am taking it. Math no less.

I'm trying very hard to think of something interesting to talk about.

I'm failing.

I'll try to post later when I have something interesting to talk about.

Why is it so hard to think of a title?

You know, wireless internet systems have to be named so the computer can recognize it, or something. And the one for my house is called AFI.

Nee-sa, we can't kick you out, you're the author/creator/someone important!

I've known about Tokio Hotel since December 2005. They released their first album as Tokio Hotel that previous September... and almost no one knew them when they were Devilish.

Why is it so hot? I just checked the weather, and tomorrow is supposed to be as hot as the record high in 1972. Here in the South Bay.

Nice tattoo, Lucy. =)

Blah I'm really unmotivated right now, which is very uncharacteristic of me.

I have to start paying attention to comments people leave to each blog entry.

I thought I was going to say something else, but now I can't remember... maybe there was nothing.

Lena

Relaxxx...

SOOO I got my Mika/billy brown/Relax Take it Easy tattoooo today!
It looks gross right now but im impatient on sharing!
It'll get brighter when it heals and stops bleeding haha

_lucy_

...call your internet "AFI"?

what?

i think i'm going to try to post in here everyday. i think if we all do, that'll keep it going...last week was a really slow week for the ol' bloggy blog.

i bet i'll post in here everyday and then start to annoy everyone and then get kicked out.

and luy, ima get you THE BEST house (apartment?) warming gift EVER. just wait.

and about the tokio hotel thing: i had heard their name in passing before they released the english album, but i never really heard their music until jade remixed "ready set go".

who is "ghostie"? i never figured it out, and i'm the one that invited everyone...

my foot's asleep.

omigod, ,so i applied to intern at the daily cal (cal's student newspaper) this summer, and my friend from school already got a call and she has a phone interview ina few days...but i haven't heard from them at all, and i'm freaking out. like...in actuality, i feel like there's no way they would take her and not me, but i felt the same way about this other program i applied for, and my friend andra got in and i got waitlisted. so i emailed the lady in charge of the daily cal internships just now to confirm that she got my application, so i hope i hear from her soon.

speaking of journalism, things have been crazy within my newspaper staff lately...we recently got our positions for next year (as you may know :) ), so for our last issue, we've been taking on our new roles, kind of as a trial run so that we can see what next year will be like while still having support by this year's editors. we have two e-i-cs, but i feel like cassie (the other e-i-c) doesn't do NEAR as much as i do. during meetings and stuff, i feel like i do everything while she just sits there. like...during brainstorm, i was at the front of the room writing down everyone's ideas, and cassie just sat there. and everyone started getting really loud, but when it's just me up there by myself yelling at them, that's extremely ineffective. so i shot one of those looks at cassie like "hellOoOOoo? help!" and she just sat there...am i the only one who thinks it's not only lame, but completely unacceptable that we supposedly share the position, and yet i'm standing in the front of the room leading meetings BY MYSELF, while she sits there and does NOTHING.

...even though we both have the same titile, i can tell that next year it will become apparent who holds the power.

Around midnight...

Teehee, Nee-sa, teehee. ^^
I have to agree though, Bill looks better with his hair down than with his hair all weird.
I think it's funny how a lot of random people now know about Tokio Hotel because they released an album here. But I have this one friend who is completely and totally obsessed with them. She started learning German because of them; she and I met because I am German; I knew that her favorite band was Tokio Hotel before I even knew her name.

And yay, I seem to have revived the blog a bit! =)

School is fine for me right now... except I've had a lot of projects due and assigned in the past couple weeks. The teachers should spread all their material out throughout the year instead of trying to fit a lot in the last six weeks. o_O
Report cards came last week.

Why does my internet seem to lag at this time, and this time only? It's probably an omen. It wants me to go to bed and leave it alone for a couple hours. Oh, and I convinced my dad to call our internet AFI. Heh.

Anyway, good night.

Lena

Win!

Augusten Burroughs is probably my favorite person on this planet right now.
Like he was hilarious and sincere and soo so so sweet.
I was shaking when i went to talk to him...ah!

-Lucy-

p.s. the resizing of the pix makes me look like im crying in the 1st one and like a monkey in the 2nd.
I was not crying (surprisingly) and im not a monkey....haha

hello.

school sucks right now for me. i have an incomplete in video production because of this ONE GIRL that was in my group for our latest video project...

other than that, i've been passing my time on polyvore.com, and fangirling over bill kaulitz....lena knows.....lol.

...but seriously. his hair is fucking weird, but the pics of him with it down are HOT.

so basically i'm sitting around wearing these glasses, because somehow i think they're going to make me more productive:

yeah. idk i'm really bored. random seniors are adding me on facebook.

Procrastination's a bitch

I've got a seven page paper to write today and I don't even know what it is supposed to be on. The only information the teacher gave us is that we need to "research two social problems." Okay... I also have to go to karate tonight and walk the dog. Boo.

Next week is finals week and then I'm done for a week or so before summer classes. Algebra. No fun.

Oh! On Saturday I had to go to my best friend's little sister's Bat Mitzvah. Someone please expalin to me what kind of person has a chinese themed Bat Mitzvah party? I do not understand that child.

That's all I think. Lucy, what is a good book of Augusten Burroughs' to start with. I've still got most of Kushiel's to work through, but I like having a wait list.

Sunday, May 11, 2008

yep, my life is boring right now.

Well besides the fact that i finished all i need to start school in July AND got my new apartment all ready.
Im moving out in 7 weeks....eek. Weird!
I'll join you South Bay kids for a while.
^-^...... =[
Actually my lifes not that boring right now, i was just all !!!! this past week.
AP tests were last week ....so everything will be smoother from here on.

Anyways, umm, lets see, what else....Im going to Disneyland is 2 weeks and then again in June! sweet deal!

umumumum....Augusten Burroughs signing tomorrow!
I hope my brother can meet up with us to walk us to the book store. >.<

i think thats it for nooow.

-lucy-

Dead blog?

Are all our lives boring or something?

My dad's in France on a business trip. He left this morning and is hopefully coming back on Saturday. I say hopefully because last November he had the exact same trip. For some reason, there isn't a flight from here to France, so he has to fly over Frankfurt (in Germany), and then on to France. On the way back, he has to go backwards (duh). However, there is hardly ever enough time between flights in Frankfurt, so often he misses them. If that happens, he just goes to visit his parents; they're not far.

Yes, I know, uninteresting, but I feel kinda bad that there hasn't been anything in here all week!
