Soooo, I've been absent for a while. I haven't been doing anything super amazing just going to school. I have a class this semester about the Middle East and North Africa that is pretty intense. It's a good class just a really heavy work load. I haven't really been going out and doing things though, which makes me sad. I feel like I haven't seen anyone perform in a ridiculously long time.

To remedy this I am going to go see Chris Isaak perform for free at Amoeba on Haight Monday. I can't decide how excited I am about this. My friend that I'm going with wants to get there super early, which is fine with me but I'm worried that I'm going to get really bored. Besides that, while I'm a fan of Chris Isaak, it's not like I know all of his music, just a pretty good percentage. But, then again, I'm excited because I've always wanted to see Chris Isaak live, but never thought it would be something that would happen. Anyway, does anyone else like Chris Isaak?

In other news, Franz Ferdinand is playing soon in Oakland, which I would like to go to. I want to take my cousin because he's a fan and hasn't been to what I consider a real show yet (he's only 12), but tickets are 35 dollars which is a bit steep. So, I don't know if that's going to happen.

you could always say it's an early birthday/xmas, etc present...?

it'd probably be awesome for him to get to see them :)

and i don't know anything about chris isaak, but performances at amoeba are always super cool and rally intimate/up close, so be excited! haha.

haha. Yeah, I'm planning on begging money from my parents because his birthday is a month later. I'm really excited for the ameoba show... Also, if anyone likes Rockabilly there's a benefit show Saturday at the DNA club with Three Bad Jacks that starts at 1. I don't remember how much the tickets are but it's not that much.
